• All spec.dock models are now being shipped with a universal 30 pin female connector at the end of a 36″ cable, which mates to your basic iPod/iPhone male connector.
• Once you’ve plugged in the interface’s male connector to the spec.dock universal female connector, simply route the completed connection to your interface using one of our detailed installation videos as a guide.

Let’s start off with web-based updates, as that’s the first place that the majority of you guys will notice some big changes/additions. We’re adding an installation center locator to our site, so that you’ll be able to order BSW gear and know with 100% certainty that there’s a shop in your area that can handle the installation process for you. If you read this and the locator isn’t quite finished, just give us a call or drop us a line.

On the product development side of things, we’re beyond excited to bring a new level of BSW fidelity to the market with our new Plug and Play component systems. For those of you with aftermarket amplification, we’ve taken our vehicle-specific drivers, combined them with custom tailored passive crossover networks, and made some of the finest component speaker systems available. We’ll have E46 and E9x applications available initially, with E36 and E39 models to follow. These systems will not only be available through our website, but also at select authorized retailers worldwide.

We have two more VERY exciting announcements to make, but I don’t want to get too far ahead of myself. We’re a couple of weeks from being able to definitively confirm, so I’ll just stop here and let your minds wander…

Good news, everyone. This will no longer be a concern for any of us! We’re compiling a comprehensive list of shops around our great land where we can confidently recommend taking your BMW to have your BSW gear installed. However, I’d love to hear your recommendations based on past experiences at independent BMW shops in your area. We’re a small community, us BMW guys, and I’d love to keep it as tight-knit as possible.
